Corporate Social Responsibility
Aware of our impact on social issues, we decided in 2008 to deploy an integrated, certified management program to steer our CSR approach, under the name “Earth 365”, in line with our values of “Expertise, Trust, Innovation, Respect, Integrity”.
This commitment has led us, in 2021, to join the United Nations Global Compact and, in 2022, to develop at Group level a global, coherent and ambitious ESG strategy that is part of a continuous improvement approach with the ongoing aim of meeting the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
We are committed to contributing to 12 of the 17 Global Compact objectives, grouped into 3 areas in line with our Code of Ethics commitments:
We are committed to sustainable products and services, and to limiting our environmental impact.
We have taken concrete steps to reduce our environmental footprint in order to contribute to a more sustainable future for all. We will continue to work in this direction to diversify our initiatives and strengthen our environmental commitment in consultation with our customers, suppliers and employees.
We contribute to the preservation of water resources, optimize our energy consumption through the use of renewable energies, and develop innovative waste recycling solutions.
We continue to implement actions to reduce our carbon footprint.
We develop sustainable products that are ever more respectful of the environment.
We are convinced that companies have a responsibility to create safe and inclusive working environments, respect human rights, promote diversity and equal opportunities, and make a positive contribution to society. With this in mind, we place workplace safety for the men and women of the Group at the heart of our actions, and reinforce our actions to promote well-being in the workplace. We take action to promote diversity, equal opportunity and the development of an inclusive environment.
Testifying to our unique expertise, Oberthur has been awarded the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (EPV) label, a French government label set up to distinguish French craft and industrial companies with rare and exceptional know-how.
An essential component of our CSR strategy is corporate governance, which focuses on responsible and ethical management and leadership practices.
We respect the Group’s core values as set out in our Code of Ethics, and we deploy a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. We are committed to supporting the local economy, giving preference to local suppliers for our purchases of goods and services. We support research, innovation and educational projects, with a desire to unite those who want to move the lines for a different future.
We work to ensure responsible and transparent management to maximize long-term value creation for all stakeholders.
We are poud to present our 2023 CSR report.
Our sites are recognized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in key areas, attesting to their compliance with standards.
Other approvals provide further recognition of our know-how and compliance with specific requirements.
